Mobility
This power of DWE is not just limited to in-house employees, your co-workers on
the road can also work with the tool from any remote location. This can be done
by securely connecting to your datawarehouse through the Internet, thus giving remote
users access to your latest business data. Users can also create snapshots of the
data they want to analyze while they are on the road, and work with these local
snapshots when access to the data warehouse isn’t possible. The DataWarehouse Explorer
fully supports both scenarios.
Deployment
The moment your organization has a datawarehouse server in place it is a matter
of seconds before you can start analyzing your business data with the DWE. Just
install DWE, select ‘New…’ and identify your datawarehouse server as the source
and you are ready to roll. It's also possible to install DWE using click-once technology
offerd by DWE Portal. Just click ‘New…’ or ‘Edit…’ in the portal and DWE will install
automatically. Newer versions of DWE are detected and installed automatically when
required.
Adhere to company standards
The DataWarehouse Explorer supports both analytical and more tailor-made and traditional
reports. This enables users to perform valuable flexible analysis of business information,
but still be able to produce the reports that adhere to the standards set forth
by your company in documents such as Profit & Loss statements, Quarterly sales figures,
etc. When even greater control over layout is required, it is possible to seamlessly
integrate Microsoft Reporting Services reports in DWE Portal.
