Editing Reports using the DWE
|

DataWarehouse Explorer Portal also provides a very efficient way to distribute
DataWarehouse Explorer. DataWarehouse Explorer Portal utilizes smart client
technology to do this. Upon editing or creating a report, the Portal will check if the client
has the latest version of the DWE on their machine, and will proceed to install or update it if this is not the case.
Administrative privileges are never required during this process. This keeps your users up to date with the latest version without needing
an application administrator.

DataWarehouse Explorer Portal provides a convenient way to deliver reports in various
formats to your mailbox. Often, a user will want to run a set of reports
each monday or on the first of the month. This will be handled automatically by the built
in report scheduler. Reports can also be delivered on a network
share or to an FTP-site.
